Vocabulary for January 14, 2013 Assessment

261. Incessant - continual never ending
262. Artisan - a worker in a skilled trade (Carpentry)
263. Quell - crush, to put an end to
264. Somber - Dark, gloomy, dull
265. Diverse - Different
266. Beneficent - Doing good
267. Irascible - easily angered
268. Spendthrift - over the top, extravagant
270. Loquacious - Talkative
271. Salutation - a greeting or welcoming gesture
273. Sacred - holy or having to do with religion.
274. Incarcerate - to imprison, to confine
275. Wrath - great anger, rage or fury
276. Didactic - intended to teach or instruct
277. Static - lack of motion
278. Humdrum - boring
279.  Savant - a very learned person, scholar
280. Din - a loud, confusing noise.

On Monday, January 14 there will be a test on vocal words 261- 280.  Included in this assessment will be a review on the most recent readings that we have done on Hamlet by William Shakespeare.


All Journals and collages must be completed by tomorrow (Friday) in order to receive credit.
